Meet Dr. Ned Shimizu

Over the last ten years, Dr. Shimizu has as created many of Houston’s most stunning smiles. His cosmetic dentistry was chosen and showcased on the cover of the esteemed American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Journal in the Summer of 2007. He was recognized by the Consumers’ Research Council as America’s Top Dentist, he was voted one of the Top Docs in Cosmetic Dentistry and General Dentistry in H Texas Magazine and he was awarded the prestigious Masterpiece in the Quintessence.

Dr. Shimizu graduated from Loma Linda University in California in 1997 after 7 years of practice in Japan and continued his advanced post graduate training in Prosthodontics, a specialty in the restoration and replacement of teeth. As a result of his unique talent and artistry in cosmetics and implant dentistry, he has been privileged to be recognized as a lecturer of advanced concepts to other practicing dentists, including being an instructor of the renowned Euro Dental Implant system.

Dr. Shimizu is a long standing member in dental professional organizations that uphold the same uncompromising expectations and values he instills in his practice including:

The Greater Houston Dental Society
Texas Dental Association

and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry which awarded him the People’s Choice Award, a Gold and Silver medal in the Smile Gallery competition achieved for the best in clinical cosmetic dentistry.

Personally, Dr. Shimizu’s artistry extends beyond dentistry into his pursuit of photography (click here to view more of Dr. Shimizu's artistic talents). He also enjoys scuba diving and travel. His lovely wife Yuki, also a dentist, and his two children are by far his most treasured accomplishments.
