Ms.G came to our office when she had almost completed her braces. She found us through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) 's site and chose Dr. Shimizu because he is an accredited member of the AACD.
She didn't show enough teeth when she smiled because her functional bite was off. Dr. Shimizu discussed, in-depth, with the orthodontist about her teeth, where he wanted all the teeth in the perfect position for function and aesthetic reasons. He also consulted with the oral surgeon about the implant placement.
After she had done with the braces and implants were done, Dr. Shimizu discussed with the patient and lab technician using photography and digital simulations. When she was satisfied with her look, the wax-up/mockup of the final smile was done and transferred into her mouth. Even before beginning the final preparations, Dr. Shimizu gave her the temporary mockup so that she can test the function and cosmetic outcome.
She came back to the office periodically to adjust and modify the cosmetic results with the mockup until she loved the new smile. When everything was to the patient's satisfaction, Dr. Shimizu started prepping the teeth portion by portion so that he could keep the same occlusion and aesthetic results. She had a full mouth smile makeover with veneers, orthodontics, and implants.
Dr. Shimizu always takes time to achieve the aesthetic and functional results, and the patient was pleased with the results.
